Picnic & Praise | Baptism Edition

Don’t you just love springtime in Texas?  

These ideal temperatures mean we can fully enjoy the great outdoors for a few precious weeks.  Everywhere I look, I see new life budding in all the season’s vibrant colors. What better time to meet up with our friends and family, have a big ol’ picnic, and praise Jesus out in His creation!?

I invite you and everyone you know to join me in Woodcreek’s backyard for our annual Picnic and Praise – Baptism Edition. 

Here are seven amazing things you can expect:

1. Hang out picnic style with amazing people: This is a time to catch up with your church family and maybe meet some new folks. Bring your blankets and lawn chairs, maybe some snacks or a picnic dinner. Some very generous community groups will have desserts/drinks to share as well!
2. Sing praises to an awesome God: Around 5 p.m., we will let Jesus know just how awesome He is. Song lyrics are available HERE.
3. Celebrate baptisms: Oh yes … we are bringing out what we have dubbed the “holy hottub” to celebrate with dozens of believers who are ready to tell the world about their faith in Jesus! 
4. Paint rocks with ACE: ACE special needs ministry has graciously offered to host a rock-painting station and display some of the artwork its wonderful members have made!
5. Treat yourself and someone you love to some shaved ice: Shaved ice will be available, and Woodcreek will cover the first 300 cups!
6. Find a community group: It’s worth repeating, Some very generous community groups will have a desserts to share with YOU! They are happy to meet you and your family and help you find the right community group for you at Woodcreek.
7. RAIN or SHINE: Due to rain, we made the call to move Picnic&Praise to the gym or WAC (Wildwood Activity Center). Bring your blankets and lawn chairs, and we will have a spot for you!

Creation praises God as it bursts with new life in springtime.  Let us join the chorus together and celebrate the new life of all those being baptized as a demonstration of their faith in JESUS!
