Our Story
Our journey began with a small group of Christians in a local neighborhood, driven by a deep desire to see their neighbors come to Christ. What started as a simple act of sharing personal testimonies at neighborhood parties soon blossomed into several neighborhood Bible studies. As new believers grew in their faith, they naturally reached out to their friends, and the fellowship expanded.
Between 1974 and 1976, many of these individuals began attending Fellowship Bible Church in North Dallas. At one point, over sixty neighbors from an eight-block area were members of that church. As momentum surged, plans were made to establish a branch church of Fellowship Bible Church, leading to the birth of Richland Bible Fellowship Church (RBFC) in the fall of 1976.
For the initial three years, RBCF gathered at Yale Elementary School. Later, the Richardson Racquet Club, where some initial neighborhood gatherings were held, was acquired and transformed into the church's new home. In July 1993, RBCF transitioned into a new Worship Center, showcasing God's grace and ongoing work within the congregation. Completing the Cornerstone project in 2001 created a new education building, signifying the church's growth and commitment to its community.
With membership expanding, the elders prayerfully sought a new location within the vicinity. This shift marked a new chapter, accompanied by a change in name.Â
In May 2008, Woodcreek Church officially opened its doors at a highly visible location on Renner Road. Here, we remain steadfast in our calling from God to impact our community and guide individuals into becoming fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ.
At Woodcreek Church, we believe every member plays a vital role in our story. We encourage all our members to actively share the love of Christ where they live, work, and play. Our story is one of transformation and trust. God is still writing this story to this day, and we want you to be a part of it.Â
