The Toolbox Ministry is neighbors helping neighbors by providing minor home and yard repairs to seniors, widows, single parents, and anyone else needing tangible help.

What’s nice about the Toolbox Ministry is that you have access to a group of men and women who have varied skill sets and they are willing to share their talents with you!

Eligibility and Assistance

Who is eligible to receive help from the Toolbox Ministry?

What kind of home maintenance and repairs does the ministry provide?

The ministry provides the following home maintenance and repair services:

Replacing batteries in smoke detectors and carbon monoxide detectors

Checking and replacing filters in HVAC systems and refrigerators

Fixing minor plumbing issues such as leaky faucets and running toilets

Replacing light bulbs

Mowing lawns (not on a regular basis)

Trimming bushes, shrubs, and trees (not on a regular basis)

Raking leaves and removing debris

Planting flowers or maintaining existing flower beds

Cleaning gutters and downspouts

Performing miscellaneous tasks

Are there any limitations on the type of work performed by the Toolbox Ministry?

Yes, the Toolbox Ministry will not perform the following tasks:

HVAC repairs

Hot water tank replacement

Roof repairs

Electrical wiring

Structural changes or repairs

Heavy lifting

Chemical use

Remodeling

Note: If you need a contractor to perform these tasks, someone from the Toolbox Ministry can assist you in finding a contractor that fits your needs and can be present when they come to meet with you.
