Great Is Thy Faithfulness: Celebrating 50 Years

We’re celebrating 50 years of God’s faithfulness at Woodcreek Church, and we’d love for you to be part of it. All year long, we’ll be celebrating together, leading up to a special anniversary weekend on September 25–27, 2026.

As part of this season, we sat down with several of Woodcreek’s founding members to hear their stories and reflect on how God established and sustained this church. There was so much to share, and while we’ll be releasing more as we get closer to September, this first video gives a meaningful glimpse into the foundation God laid. If you haven’t watched it yet, it’s a great place to start.

A Year of Gratitude and Anticipation

Since 1976, God has been at work through the people of Woodcreek Church, making disciples, serving our community, and shaping lives along the way. As we enter our 50th year, we are taking time to remember where we have been, celebrate what God is doing now, and look ahead with expectation.

This page will continue to grow throughout 2026 as we share stories, highlights from our history, and details about what is ahead as we prepare for the anniversary weekend. We are excited to invite you into the celebration.

Save the Weekend

Mark your calendar for three days set apart to remember and celebrate God’s work. These gatherings are part of a larger story of faithfulness, and more details will be shared as we move closer to September.

Friday, September 25 – Legacy Banquet

The Legacy Banquet is an evening designed to honor those who helped shape Woodcreek across many seasons. Seating is limited, and invitations will be extended thoughtfully to reflect the history and foundation of the church. As space allows, additional invitations may be shared. More information will be available this spring.

Saturday, September 26 – Family Festival

The Family Festival is open to our church family, former members, guests, and neighbors. It is an opportunity to gather, give thanks, and celebrate the ways God has been faithful. As plans come together, a simple registration option will be offered to help us prepare well and host our community thoughtfully.

Sunday, September 27 – Worship Celebration

The Worship Celebration is open to all and requires no registration. We will gather as one church to honor God’s faithfulness and to look ahead together toward what He is calling Woodcreek to next.

Be Part of the Story

As we prepare for what’s ahead, there are two simple ways you can help with the party planning and storytelling:

A. Share Photos

One of the easiest ways to share stories is through photos. If you have any Woodcreek-related ones you’re willing to pass along, we’d love to see them. Click on the button below to join Dropbox and create a folder titled “Photos from the [Last Name] Family.”

If you have printed or older photos and need help uploading them, feel free to email communications@woodcreekchurch.com and we’ll help you take care of it.

B. Share a Recipe

We’re creating a commemorative cookbook filled with meaningful recipes from our church community. Whether it’s a family tradition or a simple favorite, we’d love for you to contribute.
